We had a small house fire. Cleaning was done. They left their machine on my area rug and they area got left wet. Upon returning to our home it smelt like something had died. After further investigation the rug had mildewed/molded. I contacted them. They agreed to come get the rug. They had it iver a month and then returned it. Only to have it in my house 2 hours still rolled up and then entire house smelled again. Upon unrolling it, it had never been cleaned in the time they had it. Now they are saying insurance company never paid them to clean it (but they did) and left it in much worse and unusable condition. So now i have a HUGE are rug that i paid hundreds of dollars for less than a year ago that is ruined and they are refusing to clean and saying i need to follow up with my insurance company to have it replaced? Even though they are who ruined it. Horrible service and experience.

Negatives: I addressed all these issues with the lead man
Their name is misleading: ServiceMaster Restore. This was name was on the business card I was given as well as the receipt I receive. There was no "RESTORING" done. They just removed the damaged carpet, mats, drywall, and trim. When I asked about restoring the areas effected, I was told "We don't do that."
When they removed partial sections of the drywall, they didn't do it so the sheets involved were cut even. This will make it more difficult for any person who does come in later to hang my new drywall.
They were not punctual. The worker might arrive on time, but sit in their trucks messing with their phones rather than immediately working. The lead man ("boss") was always later than his crew.
One worker barely acknowledged me. The other crew member had trouble breathing.
I was not given a contract or receipt immediately upon handing over my initial payment. I had to request this.
Positives:
The lead man did do an inspection of my property and advised me on corrective measures I need to do to help prevent continued water seepage into my basement.
They did complete the mold and water remediation as agreed. They did clean up after themselves.

I had Service Master out to clean my carpet just before Thanksgiving. The representative arrived on time and in a very timely fashion, got his machines into the house and began his job of cleaning a very dirty carpet. If I had a question the representative took time to answer me and show me exactly what he was doing and why. I was amazed at the difference of my carpet before and after! I would most certainly recommend Service Master Quality Cleaning to anyone. I was most pleased!!!
