We rented a home rug cleaner during Covid. It was heavy, a lot of trouble, and not very efficient. It is so much easier to call ServiceMaster. ServiceMaster's rug cleaning leaves the old rugs looking and smelling refreshed. Their steamer does a beautiful job in short time. I have recommended ServiceMaster by Mason to several people and will definitely call on them again in the future. Thank you for your list of other services. Good to know! - Olive Blevins, Danielson, CT

Service-Master By Mason: A Failure of a Job 10/20/22 I write to share a very negative experience with Servicemaster by Mason in Rhode Island in the hopes that nobody else has the headache that I had dealing with them. Ryan, the owner of the RI Company, came out and gave me a bid for flood restoration work, after a major rain event had partially flooded our basement. I chose this company in part because they could arrive sooner than others, which I assumed would help with both damage and potential mold. When we reviewed the bid, we asked if there was any way to lower the price by possibly cutting down on the number of fans or dehumidifiers (each one carried a $200+ price tag). They said no. But when, as you see below, deficient equipment was provided, the response was that they would take it off our bill. It seems that either we did need the equipment, as they said, in which case the deficient equipment should have been replaced, or that they were inaccurate in reporting on the equipment needed in the first place. We decided to hire them to do the work, and the next day they sent one worker rather than the two promised. This meant that a lot of the work was left uncompleted, and because it was a Friday, the work would not get completed until Monday. When the worker left for the day, the wet plyboard sink, the wettest item in the basement, had not yet been removed. Had they sent two workers, this job would have been complete. The one worker, Larry, spent most of the time in his truck or on his phone, smoking, and very little time doing the work we were paying for. When we complained, he did the work very hurriedly, and left one of the two humidifiers on, but not hooked up to the sink. This mistake was caught by us when we went down to the basement to check on everything and noticed a pool of water collecting at the base of the dehumidifier! Of more serious concern though, Larry damaged the grey water pipe while working, did not tell us, and instead simply put duct tape on it and left. We woke up the next morning to yet more water on the floor, from the damaged pipe. Ironic, considering that this company was hired to do flood remediation! When we called Servicemaster though, they originally (we say originally because they later attempted to deny this despite proof in correspondence and photographic proof) acknowledged this was their worker’s fault, they said it was ours to fix. This was a particularly frustrating time, while we had to find and pay for an emergency plumber, while the company who had caused the break did nothing. Further, the company did not complete the scope of work that they had committed to in their bid. The owner had committed to removing and capping a sink that was the source of the flooding. They did not do this work and we had to pay for this on our own. An antimicrobial agent was to be applied more or less to the entire basement floor; we have proof of at least two areas where such did not occur. When the work was done, it took almost three weeks, and a lot of proving on our part, before we received a bill accurate of the work actually completed. This resulted in lost work time for us, as well as a lot of unnecessary stress. I write in the hope that unsuspecting clients do not hire, and thus are not unpleasantly surprised, by the very disappointing quality of Servicemaster by Mason’s work.

workers, and their They cleaned seven (7) carpets for Central Baptist Church and did an outstanding job. Old stains were removed, carpets looked fresh and clean, and they also smell great. I would highly recommend them to do any service that they do. They are great to work with. Their sales staff, their office workers and their cleaning people are all courteous, willing to help you, and also do a great job. They are top notch professionals. Don West Central Baptist Church

This vendor was a pleasure to deal with. Amazing staff, all very polite, very punctual, very knowledgeable and informing, and best of all EXTREMELY THOROUGH. The owner himself (Phill) visited the site multiple times to check on the work, and customer satisfaction. They definitely go above and beyond. We had a kitchen fire that detroyed the kitchen, and left alot of smoke damage throughout the entire raised level of our ranch. You would never know we had a fire after these guys left, they are that good! I'd personally like to thank the Team leader Collin and his partner Aiden, along with Mike (the carpet/upholstery guy) and Jason (also crew leader) They are an amazing group of guys, and hopefully someone reading this review gets the pleasure of having these gentlemen work on their house. Im more than pleased with this small, intimate company. They made this process as stress free as possible, Thank you! Jovan Hatten and family. Ellington Ct
