Given that my recent experience with Paul Davis Restoration of North Central Florida is commonplace, each and every individual I encountered values their clients and their clients' homes and are inspired to work only at the highest level of quality.
From what I understand the sort of event that caused my call is an occurrence others have dealt with (pipe burst causing water damage inside home), and despite that, the heightened feelings still transpire and you want somebody to come in and fix-it-now. And that's in essence exactly what happened.
My call was answered immediately, addressed with utmost concern, transferred to the office (Kayla was on point), and I had the team of Chris and Dale in my home within maybe 90 minutes. And they came ready to solve the problem.
After that, there were days of work and follow-up needed, and they gave me expectations that were accurate, they scheduled appointments which they kept down to the minute, and they're just nice guys who kept social when appropriate, were focused, were delicate with our possessions, and most importantly represented exactly what they were selling.
Despite the reason I had to make the call, this was a great experience. Thanks all around. Highly recommended.

Made a bad situation much more easy to deal with knowing that the project is being handled by professionals that treat their customers with respect.

Your response is just a continuation of your dishonesty. We did do business together unless it wasn’t your company that put holes in my bathroom walls, removed the toilet and vanity, and left dryers in my house for several days. I suppose my USAA should reach out and ask you to return the $1443 for the work you claim you didn’t do for me. I’m sorry that you feel threatened by customers who read contracts. I did not demand a guaranteed completion date but only asked, in the course of negotiations (new concept for you), that it be added. Your representative continually said that you were “not able” to modify the contract when that is not true, as confirmed by your corporate office. There is a big difference between unwilling and unable. In the end, I agreed to sign your contract despite your unwillingness to make basic modifications to transfer the warranty to the new owners. After all, what good is a warranty that will only last two days? I was trying to protect the new owners, people I don’t even know, but you, sir, were obstinate and showed your true colors by refusing to complete the job you started.

They communicate well with insurance companies but not so well with owners. I questioned certain provisions of the contract, specifically transferability of the warranty to the people buying the house, and the owner of this franchise said he was unable to modify the contract. I contacted corporate to ask about his claim and they confirmed any contract modifications were the franchise owner’s prerogative. I told the franchise owner it seemed he was able to modify the contract but unwilling to do so. In turn, he vengefully refused to complete the job he’d started on my house despite knowing the house is under contract for sale and time is of the essence.
Further, his quote recommended unnecessary repairs. I don’t recommend anyone deal with him. They are very presumptuous and assume that they are going to be awarded a job just because they have close relationships with the insurance companies. He’s taking advantage of the current market in mistreating customers. When it turns, he’ll be knocking on doors and begging for business.

My wife and I are exceptionally pleased with the entire reconstruction - from the initial planning, to the demolition, and on to the final reconstruction. Andrew Davis gave us a plan and a timetable for every event and who was going to do what when (even an Excel spreadsheet with days and times). Amazingly, nearly every piece of work was started and finished on time. Andrew kept us informed about the times each process of destruction/reconstruction would take place (Text or call). The various work crews were professional and skilled. They were considerate of our personal schedules and cleaned up after they finished most days. The end product of replacing all the damage due to the flood we had was wonderful. The floors, walls and cabinets look better than before the flood. We appreciated the post-reconstruction cleaning that was done as well. Excellent work Paul Davis Restoration.
