I should have checked the Google reviews but my insurance recommended these folks and they were the only ones who quickly responded and came out to make an estimate on repairing a window on my house. They ended up having another company do the actual repair and they tried to charge me $357 for their services - the only service they provided was the estimate and calling the other company! Not only that, but they insisted on being the middle man with the glass company and they apparently kept forgetting - it ended up taking A MONTH for this window to be repaired. I had to call repeatedly to get them to follow through and put us in touch with the glass company. I should have given up and found someone else. I challenged them on the final invoice given that they did zero work (they were charging me for debris removal - they did none of that) and they came back with another invoice where they still get $250 for an estimate and literally making this process take forever. Stay away!!! They are committing insurance fraud.
My husband and I unfortunately had major water damage in our home after a pipe burst in our kitchen in late August. After talking with our insurance company they recommended Metro construction and we began the process of getting a quote for how much it would cost to repair the damage. After our insurance approved the quote and we begun the process of repairing drywall that was removed we let metro construction know we wanted to install vinyl flooring in the previously carpeted area. In doing so they increased our quote from $6400 to over $8000 for no flooring just for the job. We were shocked and told them we did not want to continue working with them if they were going to gouge us for everything! Of course we unfortunately already had them repair some drywall and texture a less than 3 ft by 2 ft area and we get a bill for almost $900! I was floored! We noticed an astronomical charge for labor which we accepted but were upset over a $100 charge for trash removal (may I add the only trash involved was for the texture so it didn’t end up everywhere, even offered to throw his ball of trash away which was declined.) Called Chuck very upset about the bill especially when he said it would be at most $700 which given the job was still astronomical just to have him say there’s nothing he can do. My husband calls him to let him know the amount of area he charged for was less than what was fixed to just have Chuck yell at my husband and threaten that there will be a lien on our house if we don’t pay. Thankfully after speaking to our insurance agent about the upsetting treatment he spoke directly with Chuck to get the trash removed but never received an apology or anything. Even took over 3 weeks just to get my check cleared so I could write this review without the fear of possible retribution looming over my head. Learn from my mistakes! Make sure you get multiple quotes and if your insurance company referred them GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I had Procoat Construction finish the job and they did an amazing job for a reasonable price! Dont make the same mistake we did.
Our insurance adjuster gave us a couple of contractors to use when we had some major water damage in our home. Metro was one of them and we are so glad that we went with them. Communication was great with Chuck and Aaron throughout the entire process. They took care of everything and gave us a detailed estimate right from the beginning and made changes as we needed to. The guys that came out to the house we always very professional and explained everything they were doing along the way. We had a couple of minor hiccups, but they were resolved quickly with just an email or phone call. We will definitely use Metro again in the future and I will be recommending them to anyone looking for repairs or a remodel.
I am so happy with the work this company did for me. They really worked hard to get me the things I wanted for my home. a friend in eastern oregon that was having an addition put on her home and she is telling me story’s of the work the company she hired did and she is going to have to hire someone to fix the mess. I’m so thankful that I found Metro Construction. They are a group of wonderful men that are truly skilled in there field
When our HVAC system leaked and the water damage destroyed our beautiful acacia wood floors, I was devastated. Everyone told me how hard it would be to get matching floors. METRO CONSTRUCTION SAVED THE DAY! Aaron Baker gave me a competitive estimate but more than that he was compassionate, highly attentive and very thoughtful about my goals with custom baseboards, wanting sound dampening barriers and how to work around my new HVAC system. He understood how to work with my property management company and HOA—filling out all of their forms—and everything was approved without a glitch. Chuck Jones, his associate, did a wonderful job of giving me detailed accounting of how much this was going to cost. No one wants to start a home project without a budget—thanks to Chuck and Aaron, I knew exactly what to expect. I have gorgeous new floors as of 2 hours ago. Let me tell you about the gentlemen he sent out. Wow. Work ethic and craftsmanship at its finest. You would never know I’ve had water damage. They were professional, pleasant, on time, highly skilled and left my home in beautiful shape. I cannot recommend Metro highly enough.
