Wish our experience with Clarus was better. They took advantage of us and of our insurance provider during the process but we did end up settling with all parties involved after calling them out on ‘misunderstandings’. Some furniture was returned with tears and scratches and a handful of items with mold/water damage. I do not recommend this business as their service is hit or miss.
Mr. Red and crew were very professional and courteous. They did a great job and left my home better than they found it.
Run away! We would give them 0 stars if it was possible. Terrible experience all the way around. We had water damage in our kitchen and living room and hired them for pack-in/pack-out of our personal items so our floors could be redone. We met with them ahead of time to discuss where items would go, how they would be protected, what would be moved to a pod in the driveway, etc. Upon returning home, they had only moved our sofas and a table to the pod, had completely neglected our clothes and shoes in the closets at the entryway and the bedroom, moved our bed, nightstands, mattresses into an open room with no doors, broke our countertops that were placed in the garage and didn't cover our gas range (moving it to an exposed area). Needless to say, after all the demo/sanding of the floors, we returned to our home with most of our personal possessions covered in dust. Upon pack-in, they put the refrigerator door handles on backwards, set our bed up incorrectly (so it would have been broken), and scratched our wood front door when bringing the sofas back in. After following up with them on these items, they denied everything, and could not explain why items were not covered and/or moved outside. They 'offered' to pay 1/2 of the cleaning bill if we sent them the invoice. Surprisingly, after sending it to them, we haven't heard anything. :) Run far away. Much better to pay an actual moving company or a professional services team if you care about your personal items and want them taken care of.
my landlord used this company to move me from a moldy flooding unit. They broke numerous items, they opened each and every box and tote. Every since box, tote, bed, couch, every single item was covered in a thick layer of dry wall and dust. Some how they managed to forget to clean the truck. I have severe allergy to mold and dust mites. My couch, my bed, my rugs, are all infested with dust mites. They busted my piano and tried to wood glue it back together. I have things missing. I walked to the truck and one of their employees was taking pictures of damaged things. When I asked about it she said the damage was already there. They failed to secure things in the truck causing a lot of damage. They dragged my couch and mattress on the ground leaving skid marks and ripping threads. Only a month before they moved me I paid over $1,000 to have my piano, couch, and two rugs cleaned from flooding. A piano expert is coming tomorrow Clarus is paying for it, as they should. For a month I've spent every trying to get control of the dust mite infestation from their unclean truck. I don't know why my landlord chose to use acompany in Murfreesboro when there are numerous reputable moving companies in Nashville. If you have a choice I would strongly suggest avoiding this company with your belongings. So many of my things are banged up. It would be easier to count what was not damaged than to count what was damaged. If clarus shows up to move you expect most everything will be damaged and covered in dry wall, pet hair, and a thick layer of dust. If you have allergies don't let them near anything you own. I have reached an agreement of $450 with clarus for the damage to my piano. They sent a most reputable piano expert to look at and provide the estimate to have it repaired. Thank you
This company was contracted to move the contents out of my home while repairs were being done due to a water pipe burst. They damaged some of my furniture during the move and they acknowledged they damaged it (I have a voice mail) and told me I would be reimbursed for the damage. I have called four times now about it and still have NOT been reimbursed (I don't see the point of calling a 5th time at this point). The last time I called about it, I was told a check would be cut the next day.....that was almost 3 weeks ago and I still have nothing. This issue is still NOT resolved after about 3 months!!
