Our church, in Portland Texas, suffered catastrophic roof damage from hurricane Harvey. We lost ten thousand square feet of roof on each of two buildings. Everything below was thoroughly soaked. The water damage in the Sanctuary building included all interior items , walls, ceiling, sound systems, musical instruments, furnishings, Bibles, study materials and a multitude of other issues caused by the rain pouring through the roof. The Children’s building suffered similiar damage with the addition of toys, games, hundreds of books and support items for a day school being soaked. The magnitude of the damage was overwhelming. We were fortunate to receive the services of BELFOR Property Restoration to accomplish the formidible task of restoring our storm damaged property. Belfor also packed and moved our school to and from another location. On the first day after signing Belfor began a check for asbestos and hazardous materials. On the second day a team arrived to survey the damage and begin water mapping the interiors of both buildings. This was followed by multiple large vans arriving from many locations in the nation with technicians and all items necessary to begin “drying out” our buildings. On following days eighteen wheeler trucks arrived with multiple large dehumidifers, fans and remaining items to begin the twenty four hour a day drying and removal process. This beginning is a small part of the restoration Belfor successfully completed Hopefully the enormity of the tasks performed in the first few days will portray a sense of the ability of Belfor to quickly provide all resources necessary for a task. The character of the company is illustrated by the fact that Belfor found an unnoticed billing error, in their favor, and promptly provided a check for the amount of the error. Belfor provided caring and capable individuals to succesfully carry through on all work. I am ever grateful to Terry, Gerald, Ruben Zamora and Tim Williamson for their professional attitude and caring for each of us personally during this process. The bottom line is that I highly recommend Belfor and will call them immediately for future needs.
