Baxter Restoration was recommended by our insurance company to do mold remediation. They had to build a huge mold containment unit, gut a bathroom, remove drywall, and tear up part of our hardwood floors where there was water damage. Luis Santos and Chris Potter came everyday, on time, and with great attitudes. They were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and precise. They made sure all mold was gone, all damage was removed - and did it neatly - all dust and debris staying within the containment unit. I feel they did a superb job. When the air quality company came to do the tests after the demo was done, it passed the first time. I will be using Baxter Restoration to complete the job - the rebuild - which will include flooring throughout the house, painting, and the bathroom that was affected. I will review again for that team. So far, so happy to have chosen Baxter Restoration.
10/24/20 The team that came to my house for a few days to remove the damage found from a water line that broke was beyond professional. The full 1st floor was damaged and the team took hundreds of photos documenting the damage. They were fast kind and respectful. They were all clean and careful with all of my / family's personal belongings. Every evening they would put all my tables and items back and would spend roughly 30+ min cleaning up the work site before they left. Our house at night (although in shambles from the flood) was vacuumed, and cleaned so living in the "construction zone" was less painful to me and my family. They went out of there way to ensure small measures of safety were preformed like keeping a 1" cut of wood before the carpet started to ensure no tac nails would stab my / my family's feet. They would tape and clear tarp off areas (like the cabinets that were removed) to ensure no wires and pipes were easy accessible to my children. They kept the countertops attached and cut wood so we could still use the available areas in our kitchen. Zero tobacco use, zero foul language, no music etc. was used on or around my home. I could not be happier with Cindy and her crew ( Jose, Cleber, Douglas, and the 2nd Jose from Peru). I wish that this team could do the rest of the jobs since I feel so confident in there ability's as well as there physical attentiveness to detail. They truly care about there customers and did everything they could to make us feel better about the situation. I pray this never happens again, BUT if it does, I WILL BE calling Baxter Restorations again!! *Update *** . The repair team left 3 party workers no instructions and no components to make the repairs., We had to move out of the home for over two months where 5 weeks not one worker showed up. Improper work was done cuttings of doors instead of proper replacements of door frames were done. Painting had to be redone three times and currently in the process of getting them to come back out for a fourth coat since it keeps peeling off. Their account managers take weeks to respond with the most recent emails being over 30 days without a response. The bill originally sent without any changes in the physical labor changed multiple times with zero explanation. I have spent a plethora of hours on emails phone calls text messaging as well as going into their office to discuss the work and the labor charges where they keep reducing line items on the overall bill but yet the bill continues to go up. This is hands-down the worst company I have ever worked with in my entire life. Their demolition team that arrived at the beginning of the flood was outstanding and the demolition team deserves a five star review but once the demolition was done they treated us as if we were pure trash with zero respect towards our time, our feelings and our home in general. I have hundreds of emails and photos showing absolute terrible craftsmanship. We had to have our counters reinstalled three different times due to the fact that the company could not properly match the grain. Holes and walls above cabinets we’re just left. Staining from caulking and paint was left on our carpets and couches. Over 12 confirmed appointments of technicians to come in to repair items were canceled at last minute after already living back within the home since our ALS ran out (maxing out our 30k ALS insurance). Electrical box and cables left on and exposed with toddlers in the home. The location of the flood was the water line to the refrigerator. 6 different electricians came to the home within a 7 month window to install a faceplate for a light/fan switch, every job had(s) a issue and weeks to “fix”. Every single job had multiple issues. More time was spent contacting them to get the job done properly than myself doing it and I’m not an electrician, a contractor, or construction worker. We used Baxter to make our life easy and it’s been the worst decision I have made as a home owner. -3/1/2022 *Update Home has been fully repaired .-4/28/22
Robert Lambourne We suffered storm damage to our roof with lose of shingles and water leaking with stains on the inside ceiling. Baxter dehumidified the attic and took care of all the repairs. I do not think we would have really gotten our roof fixed right without Naomi’s Clements consistent/persistent work to help the insurance company understand the situation, and go beyond a “patch work” style of remediation. I appreciate that Baxter got everything done to truly fix the roof and the ceiling as needed for a real solution that makes our house look new again.
After other restoration companies dropped the ball Baxter fixed it all ! In one afternoon Tyler did all the repairs including resurfacing and painting the walls . He not only did a fantastic job , he enjoyed doing it - thanks Baxter of Jax
We had our ceiling fall in due to storm damage to our roof. We had a lot of water in our house and drywall came down and we had insulation fell out of the attic all on a Saturday afternoon. Joel and Marco were here for us quickly to clean up the mess and get fans going to dry up the water. Joel and Marco were professional and courteous and worked hard to get us fixed up as good as possible. They were life savers and I don’t know what we would have done without them. If you have water damage call Baxters and ask for Joel and Marco. You will not be disappointed. This is an update to my original review. Since we originally had Baxter's come out we've also had Gustavo and Enrique also come out to help us with our problem with the water intrusion. They were so kind and helpful. Also Cindy has been a tremendous help. I promise you will not be disappointed with Baxter's.
