ARS should be avoided at all costs. They talk a good game, but when it comes to restoration, they fall down. We hired them to assess and fix a mold issue in our bathroom and they promised us they would fix it and insurance would pay. They were partially right.
They fixed the part the insurance said from the beginning they wouldn't pay for. They did find a leak in another part of the ceiling and helped us to get a settlement of what it would cost for them to replace our kitchen, but then it took them 3 weeks to give us an estimate to do the actual work.
They removed a wall of our kitchen, part of the ceiling, but not the whole thing which turned out to be covered in mold; we later paid out of pocket to fix their mistakes
When we got the first estimate it was $8,000 higher than our insurance settlement; the settlement they said was what it would cost. We turned them down and then they spent another 4 weeks writing a new estimate (we are then 8 weeks without a kitchen or bathroom) and when they came back with the "new" estimate it was $12,000 more. SO they went up! The only way we were able to get them to give a new estimate was to threaten to fire them.
We tried to work with them and just get them to do the work they'd initially said they'd do, but they said "it wasn't profitable for them to do so," because by this point it was 4 months after they'd demolished our kitchen and we'd gotten irritated and done a lot of the work ourselves.
After I explained all the problems, they hit us with a $1,000 bill for the work we told them wouldn't be covered. When we showed them the inexcusable timeline, they credited us $500 and still demand payment.
We have since hired other people to finish the mold remediation in the kitchen and bathroom.
Run. Away from them!

We read the negative reviews of ARS and almost didn't hire them. After meeting with with their team, we went ahead. It's now just about 40 hours after the fire and they are doing an exceptional job, and on a Sunday no less.... couldn't ask for more.
Professional, Polite, courteous, compassionate....thank you so much.
They have the right connections, with the right people, to get the job done.
I'll update this as the rebuilding and restoration continues....right now I have nothing but praise for them. Don't go by old reviews as I almost did.

Please research this business very carefully before you use them. See if you find any happy customers after a disaster. If they do quote you for your project, be thorough reading their proposal and/or contract. I would suggest having your own legal review before you sign anything. Search for local competition near your business or home - you have many choices here...

Morse company ever! They have a good salesman but don't fall into their trap! Very unprofessional and very sloppy work! They incorrectly installed my kitchen floor twice and cabinets were not lined up correctly. No precision in their work. Lied about material availability.

We had a flood due to washing machine. The tile didnt line up. They left holes in ceiling. They left one or two inches unfloored all around outside of rooms. They made a hole in tile of another bathroom and when they were done it looked like a 4 year old did it. They didnt put doors back on correctly. Terrible terrible terrible. 1 star is more then id like to give.
